Teacher budget is real and a struggle!
Especially when just starting or it’s the beginning the year when you are filled with envy of all the postings on FB and IG.

One item that can be costly, but is highly needed- white boards!
Purchasing a class set of white boards can definitely leave your wallet a little lighter, or take months/year’s of saving to get.

What if I told you I got 32, 12” square boards for less than $13?!

What’s the cost friendly and highly effective trick???....Shower board from
Home Depot!

Home Depot is wonderful about cutting things for customers!... And more than likely when they see you approaching with the shower board they will know exactly what you need (because nothing screams Teacher like a person wanting shower board cut)

This Home Depot employee was amazing! He took his time and measured carefully each time before cutting. The whole thing took less than 10 minutes!

While some people think these don’t last as long, I beg to differ. My last set I had for 10 years and were still in great shape. I actually gifted them to a new teacher because I bought ‘real’ white boards with a gift certificate. Let’s just say I was very disappointed and they ended up in the trash before the end of the year.
And the teacher that I gave mine to...still going strong for a total of 15 years now!

So with that being said, here’s to hoping this is the last set I have to purchase during my teaching career! 🥂🤣😜

A couple of my Favorite things...lately

Tell-Ties-
I was skeptical about these when I first saw them. Don’t they pull your hair? Can they really hold your hair? And the answer is no they don’t, and yes they can!...and they’re amazing! 
(BUT PLEASE READ.... ALL hair ties like these are NOT the same. I received some similar to these, and they DO get stuck and pull my hair. Teleties do not!)

Made from old-school telephone cords, they hold your hair and don’t leave a mark.

One thing I hate about typical hair ties is that they leave a ‘crease’ mark. So once I decide to pull my hair back, that’s it for the day.
Another perk?! They don’t lose their stretch! Yes they will temporarily, but a quick jump in some hot water brings their shape right back! (Or if you live on the face of the sun...I mean Florida... just leave them in your car while you run into the grocery store! 🤣)

And another cool thing?! They’re based out Florida!!!



My other favorite thing lately?.... The 0-Venture Key Ring

Sooo I stumbled upon this because of a need. My old car was push start and I never knew where my key was besides in my purse 😂🤦🏼‍♀️
My new car requires me to actually use the key 🤷🏼‍♀️ so I actually needed a key ring.

And while people (AKA... The Mister) don’t get this thing when they see it, it is absolutely amazing!

Being big and a bright color (it does come in many colors) I can easily find it in my purse...READ...NO DIGGING!!

It also allows me to have my keys readily accessible while keeping my hands free...so I can load things into the car or hold an unruly 5 year old’s hand.

So these are my current obsessions. As a busy mom, wife, teacher.... if products can make my life better or easier, I am all for it! And these 2 definitely do that!
